So you think that the President should just dole out aid to corrupt countries, knowing that tax payer money will end up in the pockets of the corrupt politicians and their cronies...i.e. Joe and Hunter Biden?

Do you really think that Joe Biden should have gotten a pass just because he might be Trump's opponent in 2020?

1. If the President had misgivings about the Ukraine was a "hotbed" of corruption, why would he have any confidence that it could conduct a reputable investigation of the Bidens?

2. If Trump had credible grounds to have the Bidens investigated for corruption, why didn't he request that it be conducted by the FBI?

3. Ironically, the only "corruption" that has been uncovered thus far are the foreign contributions to Republican politicians by Rudy Giuliani's Ukrainian associates Lev and Igor, who received $1 million form an unidentified Russian source and were apprehended by the FBI at Dulles Airport when they tried to leave the country!

4. Lev and Igor also retained the services of the President's lawyer for $500000 - the source of that money and the actual services provided by Giuliani have yet to be determined!

5. Foreign nationals are prohibited from making contributions and other expenditures in connection with U.S. elections, or by contributing funds substituting the names of American donors to obscure their true source!

6. Recent congressional testimony indicates that Giuliani, assisted by Lev and Igor, were tasked by the President as "back-channels" for formulating Ukrainian foreign policy that would facilitate finding "dirt" on the Bidens - it was on their advice that the America's Ambassador to the Ukraine was recalled and dismissed!

Presumably Trump has decided to operate under the illusion that as President none of the laws and rules can be applied to him - his lawyers have actually argued in court that he could literally shoot a pedestrian on 5th Avenue and that the authorities would be unable to prevent and/or hold him accountable until he left office!

So the House is going to impeach Trump and disenfranchise 70 voters who voted for him because they "presume" that he broke some law?

Even though they call themselves the "Democrat" party they care nothing at all about the democratic process.

To them the end justifies the means so it is fine if they trample on people's rights in order to get back the power they lost in 2016.

No one is trying to contest the results of the 2016 election with this process. Everyone knows that Trump won the Electoral College vote. But the people have the right to impeach, and Congress is entrusted by the Constitution with the authority to impeach. You don't have a problem with the Constitution, do you?

Before Trump could give foreign aid to Ukraine he had to make sure the corruption was no longer happening in that country. It was his duty to see if the corruption concerning Joe and Hunter Biden had not just been swept under the rug.
