  • Target Boycott Heats Up

Nearly 1 million Americans have pledged to boycott Target after the popular retailer announced it would allow men to use women’s restrooms and fitting rooms, and vice versa, if the facilities correspond with the customers’ gender identity.

A day after Target declared it “welcomes transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity,” the American Family Association called for a boycott of Target and created an online pledge in which signees could promise to shop elsewhere. One week after the pledge was created, it had more than 985,000 signatures.

AFA claims Target is putting the safety of women and children at risk.

“This means a man can simply say he ‘feels like a woman today’ and enter the women’s restroom … even if young girls or women are already in there,” the AFA pledge states. “Target’s policy is exactly how sexual predators get access to their victims. And with Target publicly boasting that men can enter women’s bathrooms, where do you think predators are going to go?”

I never liked Target anyway, I will have no trouble NOT shopping there.

(I might stop in to use the restroom though)

Target, with their identity theft issue and now this? They must want to go broke.

A disregard for public safety in the bathrooms isn't too surprising when they were not careful with people's credit cards.

The only thing I buy at Target is whatever is wearable in the men's clearance clothes, which is never much. They make almost no $ off of us, and will continue to do so.
