I viewed this one yesterday. The 3D on this one is much improved over Dawn of the Dinosaurs. I would rate it as fair. The images don't mesh perfectly when the figures move fast, but it isn't to the distracting quality of the previous film.

This movie is based the first of a series of fantasy novels, the Owls of Ga'Hoole written by Kathyrn Lasky that use Owls as characters. I would have never bought this film if my sister had not told me about it.
The 3D in this film is flawless and stunning. In one shot the Owl pops out of the TV and seems to soar in the room. The 3D is effective in getting that shine an owl has in its eyes, something you just cannot capture in 2D.
This is a film I highly recommend

Ok the title sounds corny, but I bought this film in 3D because my husband loved the original. Needless to say the quality of the 3D on this was disappointing. The figures when they move look as though they are being viewed through sugary glass or water. The two images used to form the 3D do not dovetail properly when the characters move. It is this kind of sloppy 3D that causes headaches and nausea. If you are going the buy this movie, just purchase it in BlueRay.
