Numbers 22:7
The elders of Moab and Midian left, taking with them the fee for divination. When they came to Balaam, they told him what Balak had said.

Numbers 24:1
Now when Balaam saw that it pleased the Lord to bless Israel, he did not resort to divination as at other times, but turned his face toward the wilderness.

None of the prophets of God were Mystic’s or Diviners. Only Balaam whom was a Pagan used divination for a short time. God chooses whom He will reveal any mysteries to.

Even though God would answer the high priest with the Urim and the Thummim, that does not mean there was anything mystical about it.
God speaks to whomever He pleases, whenever He pleases. There is no mysticism or divination involved.

And another thing. There is no such thing as Angels. The correct translation is messenger. Angels are from mysticism and are myths. Angels are not mystical magical beings, with super natural powers that can melt your brains out. I thought I would add a little bit of corn to that bundle.

Messengers are real, but Angels are not. Another thing, sometimes the messenger is part of a parable. In other words, the fantastic description is a parable.

Colossians 2:18

Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their un-spiritual mind.

Revelation 2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

The Zohar
The Zohar, the basic text of the Kabalah, offers a special interpretation to the Balak being "The Son of Zippor". In Hebrew, "Zippor" (ציפור) means "bird". According to the Zohar, this was not the name of Balak's father but rather referred to a magical metal bird which Balak made use of. As the Zohar recounts, such a bird has a head made of gold, a mouth made of silver and wings made of copper mixed with silver, and its body is made of gold; once the bird is made, it should be put during the day in a window facing the Sun and during the night in a window facing the Moon, while burning incense in front of it for seven days and seven nights. Thereupon, the bird would start talking and foretelling of what is about to happen. Only the most skilled of wizards could construct such a bird. Balak, the greatest wizard of his age, managed it. The bird was always sitting on Balak's shoulder and whispering in his ear, and therefore he was nicknamed "Son of the Bird". The Zohar further recounts that the bird spoke true words of prophecy in Balak's ear and warned him not to set himself against the Sons of Israel, and also foretold of the harsh punishment in store for himself and for the Moabits. Nevertheless, Balak persisted in his wrong way and was punished exactly as the bird foretold.

I think you ought to define what you mean by mysticism before drawing your sweeping conclusions. Most misunderstanding in interpretation of the Scriptures is due to ambiguous words and sentences. The reader chooses the meaning that suits his/her point of view and often draws false conclusions. Divination and mysticism are not the same thing. Patrick Cronin

The Greek for "messenger" is "anggelos". Luke names the 'messenger' sent by God to Mary as the 'Angel Gabriel'. (Luke 1:26)
The English TRANSLATION is "messenger."

Strong's Concordance
aggelos: an angel, messenger
Original Word: ἄγγελος, ου, ὁ
Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine
Transliteration: aggelos
Phonetic Spelling: (ang'-el-os)
Short Definition: an angel, messenger
Definition: a messenger, generally a (supernatural) messenger from God, an angel, conveying news or behests from God to men.

Pardon me, I meant to say: There is no mysticism or divination involved.

Demons, devils, satans, evil spirits, all are characters or manifestations of evil persons recognized by their thoughts and deeds. Spirit is the nature of a person, place, or thing. A person who has demons or evil spirits, is a person with different sins in their life.

Mark 7:15
Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.”

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Luke 7:21
At that very time Jesus cured many who had diseases, sicknesses and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind.

What is your understanding of such things?

"Satan" is a parable. There are many Satan's. The term is applied to different persons.

But there is one (only one) who is the god of this age.

"But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded" (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

The gospel is veiled to those who can not identify a parable.

Revelation 2:13
I know where you live—where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city—where Satan lives.

When John wrote the book of Revelation Pergamum was part of the Roman impire.

Pergamum (pûr'gəməm), ancient city of NW Asia Minor, in Mysia (modern Turkey), in the fertile valley of the Caicus. It became important c.300 B.C., after the breakup of the Macedonian empire, when a Greek family (the Attalids) established a brilliant center of Hellenistic civilization. The kingdom achieved major importance under Attalus I (d. 197 B.C.), Eumenes II (d. 160 or 159), and Attalus II (d. 138). These kings followed a pro-Roman policy through fear of the imperialism of Philip V of Macedon and of Antiochus III of Syria. The independence of Pergamum ended dramatically when Attalus III (d.133) bequeathed the kingdom to the Roman people.
