Daniel. 12.1.

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people. And there shall be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation, even to that same time.

And at that time thy people will be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

In Jeremiah it is even clearer.

Jeremiah. 30.

4. And these are the words which the Lord spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.

5. For thus saith the Lord, we have heard a voice of trembling, of fear and not of peace

6. Ask ye now and see whether a man doth travail with child?

Wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins as a woman in travail and all faces turned to paleness?

7. Alas for that day is great so that none is like it. It is even the time of Jacob's trouble, BUT

...He shall be saved out of it

8. For it shall come to pass in that day saith the Lord of hosts that I will break his yoke from off thy neck and will burst thy bonds and strangers will no more serve themselves off him

9. But they shall serve the Lord their God and David their king who I will raise up for them.

10. Therefore FEAR THOU NOT o My servant Jacob saith the Lord, neither be dismayed o Israel for lo I will save thee from afar and thy seed from the land of their captivity. And Jacob shall return...

...and be in rest, and be quiet, and NONE shall make him afraid.

That looks pretty unassailable, why then is the great tribulation also called "Jacob's trouble?"

Who is this 'Michael'? Is he the one that wouldn't back talk satan? Is he the one who cut down the first born? And now in the last book he is going to save us? What change?

Sometimes it is wise not to engage in conversation with Satan but simply to say "the Lord rebuke you"

This goes to show just how mighty an angel Satan is, make no mistake about that...and he has rights, he is god of this world.

Michael the great cherubim, the mighty soldier angel.

You say "us" are you a Jew? your description says Christian.

God has a quarrel with the nations, it has regard to how they have dealt with His ancient people during the long years of their dispersion among the nations...and how they deal with them now that they are gathered back into their land.

Alas for the church.

She has sinned a GREAT sin and she doesn't even know it, in aligning with governments [and the Reformers did as much as the Catholics] the church must take a measure of the blame for the spite which has been poured out upon the Jews down through the centuries culminating in the holocaust.

The end of the age comes when the nations of the world under Antichrist will break their peace treaty with Israel and come up to Jerusalem to besiege it....God is going to come and fight for them.

Jacob's trouble is the period of tribulation during which Antichrist will be, in fulfilment of his treaty obligations to Israel set himself to stamp out all and every form of religion, every expression of faith in preparation for the coming of Israel's Messiah......

Israel will be building the temple

But Antichrist thinks it is for him.

No, the great tribulation is only upon the children of Israel.

These events happen in succession.

  1. Someone who is like God (מִיכָאֵל) stood up for the children of Israel.
  2. Then there is a great tribulation on the children of Israel.
  3. Then the children of Israel that are found in the book of life are delivered.

I say there is great tribulation on behalf of Israel.......since Michael stood up to deliver them.

Everyone I hear believes the Jews will go through the trib while the church escapes.

The first person I ever witnessed to was a Jewish lady...the church has made a terrible mistake with the Jews.
