Shalom.

Shema is a Hebrew word. It means hear. It can also mean listen.

Hear O Israel, Yahveh our God, Yahveh is one.

Shalom.

It was Jesus who said it. I simply reiterated it.

Paul taught there is one Spirit. Do you believe him?

I believe what Jesus said. I believe what Paul said. These are different from the Shema.

Hear Yisrael. Yahveh our God, Yahveh is one. Echad.

Hi Jacob.

I love the Shema prayer. Well,... I'm sure I don't fully know it how Jewish people do.

But you are talking about what we read in Deuteronomy chapter 6 starting in verse 4...correct?

Personally, I've always found that to be a simple and comforting sort of prayer that sort of boils down our deepest responsibility to God as humans.

Peace to you.

You are currently a Gentile who understands. Shalom.
